OK, so I have not been able to keep up with this lately. I want to apologize to everyone as I have been really busy. It seems children and working and moving all make for a busy lifestyle. Who am I kidding?? I think I have always had a hectic lifestyle.
Katelyn is doing well. She is walking without help or problem now. She has been walking since about Mother's Day. She is also jabbering away now. She constantly talks in her own language. You can't get her to stop! She can also say words like "Doggie," "Daddy," "ball," "cracker," "no," "ewww," and some others. I am taking her to a Gym every other week and we are doing gymnastic-type stuff like tumbling as well as just running around the gym and climbing on things. She loves to go to the gym. She doesn't participate in the group activities very well, but loves to try to climb on everything. She also tries to tumble at home now, as we have been learning to do at the gym. We have been playing outside a lot this summer and she loves splashing in the pool. Also, she got her first "real" haircut. I did not get to take any pictures as she was getting her hair done, as she was screaming the entire time, but the close-up pictures of her hair will show you what it looked like when they were done.
Anyway, here are some newer pictures of Katelyn.
Hope everyone is having a great summer!!!

Walking!!
Katelyn has been working on learning to walk over the last two to three months. She has progressed from only being able to stand, to being able to walk while holding her hand, to actually standing up and taking a few steps by herself. Well, over the last couple of days she has been standing up, taking up to 14 steps, and then falling down. I think our little one will be waddling around the house by next week. How exciting for her!!! I will post some video or pics in a few days.

Happy Easter!!!
Katelyn's First Birthday
Katelyn had two birthday first birthday parties this year; one in Las Vegas and one in Salt Lake City. We had a good time at both, though they were a lot of work. Everyone was very generous and Katelyn received a lot of nice new clothes for this summer as well as a bunch of new toys. I cannot believe she is already one. I am not sure where the time has gone...

Katelyn - last three months
Unfortunately, we have been very busy the last three months, and I have not had time to post new pictures. So, here are some pictures of Katelyn and what she has been up to the last three months. Since Christmas, she has learned to crawl and gotten really good at it. She is also pulling up to a stand on everything and will walk with you if you hold her hands. She is also really happy to feed herself, as you can see in several pictures. Blueberries have become her favorite food.

Katelyn crawling
Here is a video of Katelyn crawling. This was taken about two weeks ago. She has been crawling since about Christmas, but now she is really good at it. I love her hair in this one.

Video of Katelyn standing
Lonnie got this video of Katelyn standing at her musical table trying to read a book on Valentine's Day. She had pulled herself into a standing position and brought the book up with her. Before Lonnie got the camera going, she was flipping the pages and reading standing up. Now she is just kind of playing with the book.

Christmas 2009
This, of course, was Katelyn's first Christmas. She really did not enjoy Christmas morning, as you can probably tell from the photos. We only took a few photos Christmas morning because she was so upset. She actually got up, opened her presents, and went back to bed. It was pretty anticlimatic. Anyway, you can also see pictures below of her with Santa at her Great Grandparents' house. She hated Santa. I was also sick with the stomach flu on that day, and at a party full of food smells, so I am pretty out of it in the one picture you see of us. Anyway, you can see her riding on her rockinghorse she got from Grandpa Baxter (Candice's Dad). There are also some pictures in there of Christmas Eve at Grandparent Farnsworths' house. Anyway, it was a really busy time and I am actually glad it is over, but it was fun while it lasted.
